I have always heard that paying for extra warranty time is not a great deal. I just bought a third Samsung with the first one bought over 4 years ago and have not had any problems although the last two are less than 6 months old but overall they are very high quality products so my guess is if you are going to have issues it would be sooner rather than later. The best way to avoid problems is to buy a quality product to start with and Samsung TVs are quality.

Not limited to 30 days.
I bought my LCD on 9/1 and registered just now, got the 3 month extension.

Also applies to Washers and Dryers, I bought the best buy 50% off ones last week and just registered, got the 3 month extension.

Does not apply to prepaid wireless phone that I bought from target

found this hong kong english version, but it has a 2004 date...it was the 2nd google link for samsung warranty extension
anyone have more details?

Looks like it may extend out to all of their large appliances and possibly some of their other products excluding phones. Its worth a try since they make all kinds of stuff including camera, laptops and home theater items among things.

I can confirm this is the same on Samsung monitors, for one I got a long time ago. A great way to get you to register, as oppose to other companies (off the top of my head BFG, EVGA) that penalize you with a greatly reduced warranty (what's up with that)?
