If the Q8300 was made after May 25, 2009 it has VT support. The original Q8300s did not have VT support, but Intel added it after announcing the feature change on 4/15/2009. Info can be found here: http://content.intel.pcnalert.com...337-00.pdf

Since these are new systems and it's so late in the year, I would assume that they are the more recent models that support VT.

I don't even know what this VT support means. I use VMWare at home also. Does this means you will get a much faster speed while running VMWare? I believe both chips should be able to run the VMWare software.

well, I know now, this technology is called "hardware assist Virtualization", so VMWare does run faster.

The graphics capability is fine for typical desktop work, but do not expect gaming to be part of the daily regiment (unless Solitaire is your thing).

This graphics chip is faster than an 8400M, but not as quick as the 8400M GS. Perfectly acceptable for DVD and HD playback.

Yeah, there was a front page deal a couple days ago 4GB of DD3 on a e5300 (I could easily swap for a Q8300) and a smaller HDD, and Windows7 (I understand the free upgrade, but just more of a headache) for less than $300 that I missed out on. This deal isn't a bad deal, but lacking DDR3 it's not enough to make me take out the credit card pre-BF.
