100% agree. Plus the "networking capabilities" will be old in 6 months, I suppose they can update the firmware so at least they will maybe try to keep it fresh.

I am building HTPC, I think it will last much longer than overpriced receiver.

HDMI 1.4 is a good time away and looking to debut sometime in 1st quarter 2010. Also first generation equipped HDMI 1.4 Home Theater Receivers will have bugs and kinks that will need to be iron out via firmwate updates and not to mention to be expensive technology to implement. Also...they will have to develop new faroudja processing to handle the new high-data bandwidth for 1080p conversion.

This is an excellent deal for a receiver that easily goes for $1600 from a reputable dealer on google products [google.com]
