    LG and Samsung 50" 1080p plasma $770 SEARS B&M only 11/15 6-9pm
In the sears VIP ad tonight is a 42" samsung 720p for $549. A employee at the store told me they want to save this TV for BF so they are substituting the Model# PN42B450 for the same price.

    Samsung Model# PN42B450 $549

    http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_1015...42+samsung

They are doing the same for the 50inch samsung ang LG 1080p but for $899

    Samsung Model# PN50B550 $899

    http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_1015...50+samsung

    LG Model# 50PS60 $899

    http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_1015...word=lg+50

You can also get 10% off with a sears card if purchase is over $699, PLUS the 5% VIP disount.

THE VIP SALE IS IN STORE FROM 6-9 11/15 ONLY

THESE PRICES ARE IN STORE ONLY, and this may be a YMMV deal, i bought a LED last VIP and have yet to see a better price in store.

Seems like a very good deal. Can you apply for the card in-store and get the 10% off when you buy?

Yes. You can apply in-store and they give you a $1,000 credit line instant approval. I can confirm this is B&M only and it might be YMMV also. I called up Sears, they really had no clue about the subbing or if its in-store only. So I called up the Sears I was going to buy it from and the associate who helped me and they confirmed that its B&M, but they have no clue yet about the subbing, so maybe YMMV.

this discount on the tvs wont kick in until the sale starts at 6. maybe 530 according to the store employee, because this is technically a substitution.

I guess if you could shed a little light on exactly what you mean. I got plenty of time to go check it out tonight. That 50 for that price would be awesome. So your saying the 50" LG will be discounted at 6pm tonight then the VIP discounts in addition to that?

Correct. The total should put you to exactly $765 before taxes & shipping if you can't pick it up. You can request them to ship at a flat rate of $65 which depending on how much the taxes are after, it STILL might be a slickdeal.

I already called up the Sears that I'm going to buy it from, asked for the associate who helped me last time I went to check out the TV's, told him to hold one of the Samsung 50"'s for me. Can't wait to get it later.

umm... sounds too good to be true I say this because I was at Sears last night asking for a price match and the manager was a pita and would not price match Frys on a 52" Sony LCD. He would not even call and said I need a Frys receipt and documentation... He seemed way to profit focused to allow give aways. Sorry, not trying to rain on this parade. Just had a Sears reality check last night!! lol

Man, WTF is up with no VGA in on some of these large plasmas?

The inputs on the LG makes it a better option for me, but the Sammy seems a little better reviewed. Looked at both TVs in-store really like them...

maybe its because i'm running on 5.5 hours of sleep since friday morning but could someone clarify?

    I have no sears card..

    1) wait until 6pm and go to my local sears
    2) apply for the sears card
    3) choose between the LG and Samsung 50" plasmas
    4) prices should be $899 for both TVs
    5) $899 - 15% discount (5% VIP + 10% for my new sears card for $700+ purchase) = $764.15 + tax

i normally wouldn't need clarification, but working nonstop on a final paper has warped my mind. thanks to anyone that can clarify my frazzled thinking

The friends and family flyer in my area (south Florida) mentions the Sammy but not the LG? I prefer the LG. Do some flyers show both?
