Free PocketCPR App for Iphone & Ipod Touch - down from $5.99 - Uses accelerometer to guide you!
This is my first post so I apologize if I did anything wrong. I searched and didn’t find it posted.
Search "PocketCPR" in the Appstore to find it.
I was checking on what apps were on sale today and found this one. It’s called PocketCPR and works for the current Iphone. It’s a CPR training tool that has voice instructions and full illustrations to help walk you through the process. What sets this trainer apart though is that it uses the iphones accelerometer to tell make sure your chest compressions are at the right rhythm and to make sure your using the right amount of pressure. The apps reviews said people used it while practicing on a couch cushion or firm pillow. I tried it out and it seems to work well. If you’re going to fast or not pressing hard enough it will tell you what to do to correct your motion.
This is a great training tool if you want to learn CPR plus it’s free. Everyone should know CPR because you never know if you might need to use it someday. Even if you know CPR it’s a good refresher tool.
The app description says it works for the Ipod Touch as well but you need the phone to use the “call for help” feature.
The app listing doesn’t say how long it will be on sale so get it while its free.

Going broke one slickdeal at a time!
Make your own CD/DVD case out of a piece of paper:
Not to mention if I was in bad enough condition that I would need someone to perform CPR until the paramedics arrive I would rather have them use this app than nothing at all. Doesn't the 911 operator normally walk you through this anyway if you are the only one around? I'm not a lawyer or anything, but I think you would be protected under good Samaritan laws.
