Kinda bored, been reading into this further. The Amazon reviews aren't too good but, one person complained the Amazon pic is misleading and their set came with a cleaver, which is true. Amazon's description is as follows:

Farberware Pro II Forged 15 Piece Cutlery set includes 8" chef, 8" slicer, 8" bread, 5" utility, 3.25" parer, 8" shears, sharpening steel, six 4.5" stamped steak knives, cleaver in a black hardwood block with stainless steel plates on the sides.

Also realize the current Amazon price is $90. Hopefully whatever I get won't be cheap stuff, the website description lists many different knives than the Amazon one so I'll hafta wait and see.

Fabreware just mainly depends on where it is made. If it is the junk made in China, you'll get junk knives. If it's from France, they should be quality.

Not a bad price but the Farberware Pro Forged FPF14N knives scored 56 in Consumer Reports review. That was the 3rd lowest score. For reference the top Henckels Twin Select scored a 91. Just know what you're getting for the low price...probably is better than the 10-20 sets found at Walmart and the like.

Wusthof, Henckels, Shun but even these have low end versions that are stamped and not forged. At least these Farberwares are forged.

Half of the reviews are complaining about rust. You never know though, maybe they are putting these in a dishwasher.

for $30/set you want them from FRANCE?? in many example, a french worker makes more in one hr than 1 chinese worker makes in 1 week. without chinese labor, you think you can get your $300/399 laptop?? even German cookware brands such as Berndes and Rohe are mostly MADE in CHINA now, and great quality. sure you can find cookware and many things in life from other parts of world, but do expect to pay for them, certainly NOT $30 or $60/set of knifes
