Anyone can be a sole proprietor: ebay seller, dog whisperer, etc. Your business name is just your own name, tax id is your SSN.

You need to have documentation to show you have actually established a business...see the required documents for various types of entities here: http://business.ingdirect.com/pro...penAccount.

I assume this isn't an "instant deposit"? I just registered, and have nothing so-far in my account.

Ah well, still, it's worth a shot, hopefully they will credit my account. Thanks OP.

You may have to comply with local registration, business license, or permit laws to make your business legitimate.
Everyone can be, but you still have to file sometimes.

Does anyone know whether it's possible to open an ING Business Savings account if you already have an ING Direct savings and checking account?

I would love the $50 bonus. I really enjoy having ING as my bank. But I'm not sure if already having an ING Direct account disqualifies me?

Basically, if you don't own your own business, you have to come up with some way to make it look like you do. That includes things such as having a business checking account with your business name printed on the check to prove that you own a business and an EIN. It looks like to me, they require enough that makes it pretty difficult to fake. Possibly not impossible, but a lot of work for $50.

I'm not threadcrapping either...I own my own business and may end up using this code myself. There just seems to be a lot of hope from people here who do not own their own business and think it's an easy $50.
