But if the new system already has a drive, that's a bad option, since you'll be giving the family member the larger one :D

If you get your hands on a transfer cable, everything will be copied over; even gamertags, I believe, and wiped from the old drive at the same time.

if the HD are the same size you could always just swap the HD
