Good to know Discover dropped the conversion charge- I pre-ordered Harry Potter years 1-8 from Amazon UK, and they don't do the free currency conversion on Pre-orders.

I never even bother trying with my Discover or Amex, a lot of those Asian places are strictly MC or Visa.

come to washington dc/surrounding area. go to some of the non chain stores, a lot of them do not accept discover card. foreigners who own stores hate them and thats a fact. hell the east potomac...

In Asian countries, it is best to use cash. The employees at the credit card processing centers look for non-Asian names and steal those numbers. It happened to me twice for both times I used my card...

The current Discover card also operates on the Diners Club network overseas, including the UK. Your Discover card should contain DinersClub logo on the back.

I only accepted the Chase Sapphire Preferred because I am about to go to Greece, Im pretty sure they don't accept Discover there, but its good to know I have another card when shopping online.
