Just my research, and not a guarantee: All of the other Hitachi 2TB drives on Newegg, other than the one with bad reviews, specifically say 7200rpm. The one with bad reviews doesnt specify the rpm....

Great price. Got two of these from Office Depot. The drive inside is the current Deskstar 7K3000 64MB, their highest model. Same as the one inside the XL2000 that was on clearance at Office Depot...
