500GB units have been on sale for around 60 a few times. I guess as far as 1TB goes, this is good. But at this price I'm buying a complete computer refurb for $220-300 and pulling the drive and...

Note that this is the 7200RPM model and not the usual 5400RPM model which is what you would normally find on sale for the $50-$60 range... Still a high price but not as terrible as most people would...

I'm glad I picked up two of these for $100 just before the flooding in Thailand destroyed the market. Personally, my opinion is that unless you must have a new hard drive right now, wait 3 months for...

You're absolutely right about this price, it's great in a rough hdd market. Also as far as these current hdd prices are concerned, the flood is a perfect opportunity for Seagate to price gouge, how...

I agree it will take at minimum 3 months for prices to drop naturally again (could be a few sales here and there too between now and then like this one). I don't expect them to return to the same...

Thanks for the deal though, I have been lazy to upgrade my computer, but figured a new harddrive and a switch to Windows 7 would kickstart the process. Was bummed I missed out on the 1TB "Green"...

Thank you for telling us the price you paid for it. We know it was cheaper months ago. I'm also amazed at all the people thumbing down this thread because they didn't realize there was a natural...
