Is sceptre a reliable brand? I'm pretty new to HDTV's and I feel like sticking to Sony, LG, Panasonic, and Samsung. I have a 32" Vizio and that takes like 10 minutes to turn on.

I have a 40" right now. The text sucks for word processing. For movies it's pretty good. Occasionally it's a bit to dark on scenes. For games it is outstanding

tempted as my back porch 52" just crapped out. it was out there for a reason, it was on the fritz so I"m not surprised it died over Christmas vacation. Thanks will start to research this model...
