Guys, I can confirm that an unlock is an unlock. it works for domestic and international it doesn't matter.

All 4s are world phones.. I have a sprint but it still has a physical sim card. If i remove the sim card, sprint connectivity is lost...CDMA is somehow tied into the sim

Regardless of how it actually works, the SIM on a CDMA iPhone 4S is a GSM SIM slot and is not *actually* needed for CDMA. As long as Sprint unlocks the actual phone it will work on a GSM network.

I tried a T mobile sim & ATT, it didnt work. Will a complain to AG office or BBB work? As the contract is technically fulfilled they shouldnt they let go the device?

even if they did unlock the phone, wouldn't it still be a CMDA phone, i.e. AT&T and T-mobile won't work anyways? basically Verizon is the only alternative?

no idea, but apple pulls it off. one guy on the forums claims he pulled it off, but i seriously doubt it. op, have you tried a ATT sim? I hear that the early ones were never relocked.
