If you haven't read it yet: Yahoo is the worst for domains. Do not do it! If tempted, throw your computer in a lake. Yahoo doesn't actually do the domain registration, it's an australian company....

I had a very bad experience with Yahoo! domains. This was years ago, but it still stings. I'd stay away from this mouse-trap of a deal. No fault of the OP.

Just transfer "Out" to the registrar of your choice before renewal an you'll have no problem. You can transfer after 60 days. NG

Make sure to double check when you transfer the domain away. Other places I used when you transfer they remove it from your account. Yahoo did NOT do this when I transferred one several years back...
