Nope, the 42" in the bedroom and 50" in the game room are both inside of a year old, are name brand, and very nice. But I will re-phrase that statement. I prefer the Mitsubishi over either of those....

Unless there is any kind of light in the room which causes Saturation. Direct display technologies like LCD/LED/Plasma do not suffer as much from this although all types are best viewed in low light....

Just wanted to add that you are not limited to DLP link with the new models. I have the WD82740 and use the Xpand Universal Active Shutter Glasses and I did not need an additional emitter.

I have no problem with people who like DLPs, but I don't like them for 2 reasons: (1) their existence keeps flat panels expensive and (2) they are way too big/heavy to easily put in my apartment....

That's the main reason I've avoided DLP's. If you're viewing area is going to be relatively dark, have the space and you will be sitting right in front of it then they are a good value.
