Rebate offer already expired!

Would buy it, but I'm doubtful about OCZ's reliability. I don't want to spend money on a drive that has a good chance of dying in 4 months. I will wait, the future might hold something even better.

No... this is a Shellshocker and Newegg Shellshockers are not a good indicator of where prices are headed anytime soon. It's naive to believe suddenly all SSD drives will start floating down toward...

Wow, so much anger. Thanks to the guys defending me about the $0.50/GB remark, and to clarify, yes I meant sale prices. Just because it's a shellshocker today doesn't mean it's some sort of miracle...

Almost there....price must get a tad lower.
Post #51051520 added 06-18-2012 8:57 AM by chuckecheez in Archived Deals
If only it were a Crucial or Samsung drive. I'm betting $0.50/GB is the going rate for most SSDs in the next 2-3 months, where I suspect it will level off for a while. But I agree that there is no...

It will eventually. Right now this is a pretty good deal assuming you don't get stuck with the BSOD issues. As always, the longer you wait, the better the deals will get on SSDs. OCZ Vertex 3...

Stupid question. Can this be used in a laptop? I bought a V570, can i add this in conjunction to the 700GB it comes with?
Something tells me that won't work... Microcenter does put stickers on everything...has anyone done this successfully? Edit: I pulled the trigger. We'll see what happens.

No, laptops can typically only hold one hard drive. Like the poster said above, you would have to make your existing hard drive an external drive with an enclosure or docking station. You could...
They do, but I doubt they'd do it on a sale item. I'll just return this one when it arrives. Thanks for the suggestion!

I got that 120G Vertex Plus for $61AR a couple weeks back, and like 4 months ago got the 90G Vertex 3 for like $81. I needed them when I bought them, so it is what it is, but these prices are crazy!...

Yes, if you deny shipping/don't open the UPS box and give it back to UPS. If you do, then I am quite sure you will have to pay to ship it back.

I know, these prices are too good to pass up. I am going to "upgrade" my 120 GB AG3 to a Vertex 3 and give my AG3 to my sister for her laptop  I bought the AG3 for only $97 about 4-5 months...

I really wanna pull the trigger on this SSD, but the reviews scare me! I don't know if I should wait for the Samsung 830 to go on sale again or grab this drive.

That I can help with. SSD's are great for laptops, which often have painfully slow drives that are not as big as desktop drives anyway, or for use on desktops for your operating system and program...

They are both SATA 3, so that's not a factor. Correct me if I'm wrong but their is not enough of a difference to have to deal with a return over $10 is their?

That's actually how it is for almost all tech - early adopters help recoup capital and promote to mainstream, then mainstream buys in when price is cheaper. Even Apple isn't immune, the secondary...
