Eh, with Gigabit kits selling for 55 shipped this isn't that hot, 200mb/s really isn't that great.

The ports on these things are 100mbit so that's the most you'll see at each point, and I wouldn't trust the gimmicky utility at all. Even still, the best you could actually hope for is 65mbit or so....

I routinely see 70mbps throughput on my COAX MoCA adapters. I replaced my POE adapters with it since I was only getting 10mbps or so. I use a network speed test utility to send a 100MB file to/from...

What gigabit kit are you referencing for $55 ? From what I see, the 500mbps ethernet over powerline kits are somewhere around $129

I'd like to know what kind of HD content streams will bottleneck a 65Mb/s connection....that's double the bandwidth of my blurays.

If you're getting a *measured* 70Mbps over powerline, that's fantastic, you should be thrilled, honestly. But you are the rare exception, believe me. Powerline is all over the map in terms of...

Ability to stream HD will depend on the quality/distance of the electrical outlet connection. I have a network of four Netgear 500Mb/s units and the signal ranges from 120-130 and 75 ish. The 75...

You're likely right, I was just going by the WD utility. I do get more than 12-18Mbps though as I transfer files from my NAS on the network to several PC and I see constant speeds of 7 to 8MB/s...

Actually, ethernet isn't limited to 100mbps. There are gigabit ports too which are faster at 1000mbps. All you need is something that can utilize it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabit_Ethernet
