I paid $140 for the CPU and $200 for the ram. The mobo was $200, the case and psu combo was $100, I dont have an optical drive, I have a cheap 150GB Maxtor HDD which I got for $15 AR. My graphics...
This board is actually very nice to have 8 DIMM and 3+2+1 PCI-E, great for a lab.... but still a bit pricey for me..

some people just want the top of the line. I myself have been running an i7-970 @ 4.0Ghz and 24GB of Corsair Dominator @ 1866Mhz. My CPU and Ram usage have never been above 10%... ;) Iam planning on...

well it was $350 ram which I got for $200... also I run virtual os sometimes and I can dedicate like 12GB to it.
