An automatic watch will stop when you take it off? Having to always reset the time would get old quick, or am i missing something here?

Fixed broken links, if anyone was having a problem viewing them.

It's all about personal preference. Someone could very easily buy a $15 Casio digital atomic watch and outperform a $30 Timex. Does that mean you should never buy a quartz analog Timex?

I like good looking watches as well. I always wear analog watches. But, what is the point of a good looking watch which does not show the right time if I don't wear it over the weekend.

People who are serious about automatic watches usually buy watch winders. http://www.amazon.com/Belocia-WIN2-110-240-Automatic-Winder-Double/dp/B001XTVLY6 Still, if you want to know that your...

That's a good deal as well however it is a slightly more casual style. The military styled Seiko automatic is in higher demand.

Yes, I'd trust a Casio over Timex :) Did you mean 40 seconds??? Because if your watch is off by 40 minutes, yes, there is something wrong with it and you should send it in for repair.

I see "Warranty 3 Year Seiko Warranty" listed in the description of the Beige watch, but the other state Jomashop warranty. Odd.

I got one from 8 months ago (not from this vendor), but the watch is the exact model. It is forty some odd minutes fast eveyday, and really can't be counted on to keep time. Your experience may...

Did you buy the watch from a retailer who did not offer a warranty. (Seiko, retailer, third party, etc.)

These are nice watches. I just purchased the green one from Sharkstores on Friday for my 12 year old son. I use the larger 40mm version and love it.

i had a series 5, and mine kept time fine. it stopped from time to time cause of me not wearing it on sundays (since it's an automatic), but that was my own doing.

You are not missing anything. They charge more for an automatic watch which can never be as accurate as a quartz watch. I don't see the point of buying an automatic watch.

With Automatic watches, there is something i just enjoy about the sweeping hand movement and not the typical 60 sec tick tick. I would love to get another beater seiko 5 like this to wear, as my 41mm...

Mine will keep time for about two days without wearing it. If you wear it everyday, you never have to set it. If you have several watches, you may be setting it before every use.

I bought the blue one a little while back. It looks fine on me, and I have a sizable wrist. Keep in mind this is a military field-style watch, not a gauntlet.
