There is 5% CB through Chase Rewards FYI

Not sure why this is considered a hot deal. Compare a OCZ Agility 4 (poor reputation) vs a Plextor M3 (amazing reputation for reliability, *5 YEAR* warranty) here. You can see that in a couple...

Can someone explain to me why it seems as though the OCZ Agility 3 (last generation model) has better specs than the Agility 4? Here's a link for comparison:...

Great price. Specs can be deceiving. This handles works well with all data types unlike the Sandforce based drives that only reaches max performance with compressible data.

that price is pretty freakin slick, especially considering that it is arguably the fastest (so long as it isn't more than half full...? or did they get that improved? i think they improved it..) SSD...

I'm not up on the Agility, but the last thing I read on the Vertex 4 is that after 50% they revert back to the standard mode - prior to 50% they are in Performance mode. I would think this is the...

I hate rebates, so I'm passing. Ugh, really wanted 1 more SSD but the tsunami of SSD deals seems to have died down a bit.

Not sure how it remains the riskiest choice? I have had 4 OCZ drives in total, 2 agility and 2 vertex, and I have had no issues with them whatsoever. I did not have to do anything crazy even when I...

The first few SSD's that had the stuttering problems were made with Marvell controllers. Latest SSD problems with the drives disappearing were made with SandForce controllers. Haven't heard of...

I can see what was in the wiki and also the posts from both of you, which have now either been edited or deleted. Enough is enough, both of you. And 'auto-verting' the wiki would be the same as...

lol ::shake::shake::shake: someone call the whambulance:D OCZ quality is fine, reviews out there give it high ratings - whatever you have against the company is on you, deal with whatever internal...

Ok, both of you. That's enough, please. Either speak civilly to each other, or ignore each other's posts. And stop deleting each other's stuff from the wiki, or it will be locked. If the info added...

Should I get this drive or stick with the Plextor m5 since they are the same price after taxes? Have about 90gb of data to store on the ssd so which will give better performance?
Post #52630966 added 08-21-2012 11:14 AM by Spankybean in Archived Deals
OCZ remains the riskiest choice. The Newegg link lists 25% of the reviews as 1-star. Paying closer to $90 for one of the more reliable brands or something with an intel, samsung, or marvell...

Hrmm I have a $10 credit from newegg which would bring this down to $.50/gig. Not sure whether I should take the risk with it though. Would the 830 be a better choice? I don't want to have to deal...

No, OCZ is a shit company. Their drives fail at rates twice and three times higher than any other company, their PSUs are notoriously shitty, being prone to failing and ruining anything that's...

People may say this is "slow" looking at MAX performance numbers but the reality is it handles compressed and uncompressed file types exactly the same. Same is not true with Sandforce drives like the...

Not trying to TC, but it seems like EVERY day there is a FP deal on SSDs. If there's an "amazing" SSD deal everyday....at some point don't the deals cease to be amazing?
