Your best bet is to go into the Menu for the Panasonic 3D Blu-ray player and turn off the 3D features so it will play in 2D. Most 3D movies are bundled with a 2D BR or DVD so you should be covered...

No. The bluray player and the TV can "communicate" with each other so the bluray player will "know" you do not have a 3D TV. On another note, if you are worried about those movies being useless to...

I believe you will just see the same movies on split screen side(for left eye) by side(for right eye) playing... or 2 pictures up and down...
