If you're talking about the 6450, they're quite similar. 6450 is a tad better.

I have this card in my N40L and works fine for HTPC use. However, Zotac is horrible with rebates. I haven't received mine and it's hard to get anyone there to respond. No more Zotac for me.

If you have on board video through your processor (e.g. Intel HD 4000) do these work *with* it to help the video performance, or does video performance only use one or the other? e.g. is there any...

I just meant if it helps to take some of the load off the cpu when rendering graphics (not duel display).

For folks with existing Ivy Bridge graphics, I say don't buy. You are just adding to the electrical , thermal and acoustic load of your PC for no benefit. I would probably think that way even for...

I have to concur with you. It took me 6 months to get a $50 rebate back from them and it was impossible to get in touch with anybody there, I ultimately ended up complaining in one of their forums....

absolutely, I haven't had any issues with them, in fact I have received all my rebates the legit way as well HOWEVER it took most, if not all, of them longer than what the form itself states, so it's...

http://n40l.wikia.com/wiki/Graphics_Cards It would appear that 520's from other manufacturers do work.

You know, I am going to have to thumbs down this card due to the fact that the 6450 is a little better, but more importantly my experience with Zotac and their rebates is that they take forever AND I...

Would this work in HP N40L microserver and use it as HTPC - play compressed HD videos without much effort? If not any recommendation?

or send them an email with all submissions, have the checks in hand 1 week later and then actually receive the rebates you submitted 1 month after they are supposed to :D

This is 4 steps worse: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html
It seems the company is more than willing to help with rebate issues. There are several @zotacusa.com addresses provided in the Newegg reviews for this.

I really do not need it for gaming at all - I am a console guy. I am going to plug this in to my HTPC. I already ordered MSI one I am hoping that will take some cycles off my CPU

I think this would be much better than any CPU on-board video. It works in place of on-chip video, not with it (unless you're talking multiple displays). But I needed this for the 2560x1440...

Zotac has terrible rebate service....you pretty much have to hound them 24/7 in order to get your rebate....once you register and submit your rebate....it will stay in the "processing" stage and...

Save your money. All these cards that are $25 or less after rebate come with 64-bit memory and DDR3. You really need 128-bit memory and DDR5 if you want a significantly better card than integrated...

Anandtech and some other sites have detailed reviews of the 520, 6450 and others. They will work fine probably for most HTPCs as long as you do not need 1080i deinterlacing. If you do not need this...

Thise card goes on sale all the time along with that XFX card. The price is only attractive because of the rebate, and you likely won't get it from Zotac of XFX. I picked up the MSI video card for...
