This is a great deal. I actually had a DOA unit. Pretty scary symptoms but I don't believe it damaged any components. Newegg was great about it of course. At this price I would not hesitate for a...

Get a power supply tester, a must (IMO) for any builder, especially if you also help friends troubleshoot their PCs. Plug the PS into the wall, then plug all of the outputs into one of these. ...

That OCZ 850w deal was great. I got it with the ram on the double discount. Using it now in my main system. My spare system is running a XFX 850w silver rated that I got for $80 I think it was.

Yes, this will be more than enough to run any two newer GPUs in CF/SLI. You can run 680s or 7970s on this just fine. A pair of super overclocked 7970s might tax it a bit when you're doing a full...

Yes. I bought this exact PSU from Newegg and it was deader than a doornail. So I had to wrap it back up and spend 15 bucks to send it back. Thankfully I got a refund. But the whole process was...

Don't think so, from what I can find on them (nothing but voltage displays or Voltage OK LED's). No loading of the lines that I can tell at all. Units that load up the supplies are much bigger...

Tempting, however since I'm grabbing components over the next month to build my machine, I'm not sure I want to gamble on it being DOA and not testing it until after the 30 window.

Agreed. I own the 650 and a 460. The fan on the 650 rarely comes on. When it does, it is very quiet. I doubt you will even hear it over any background noise. I got the 460 from the egg in January...
