I think they're wrong. When you upgrade you have an option of keeping the plan you are on now. That's how it worked for me.

First BB I went to wouldn't do price match and GC. The 2nd one did, and applied to GC to the purchase. Walked out the door for $168.04.

SO I have the grandfathered unlimited plan. My wife and I pay $112 TOTAL for out 2 iphones.

I purchase mine instore. They price matched the $179.00 instore but they would not give me the $25.00 gc. Called the 888 number and they are emailing me the gift card.
