Not a fan of Sony. Had a vaio a few years ago and it runs extremely hot so hot that I might had lost a few sperm counts lol. I had to buy a cooling pad to use it and looked kinda silly on the road.

completely agree. Even copying a big file over WiFi is painful depending on the placement of routers etc. x230 has gigabit ethernet

I'm not a fan of recent sony laptops as I think their quality has dropped. My dad has an E-series which is about 2 years old and the mouse button fails to register unless you press it very hard....

Who needs an ethernet adapter these days, wifi all the way. My vote goes to Dell, better battery life and runs much cooler. The Sony looks better.

I don't know about the i5, but I got the i3 and found the trackpad to be not registering clicks at times. Also the screen responsiveness wasn't as good. Some swipes registered whereas others didn't.
