I pretty much disagree with you on every count. You are selling the lens short by saying its benefits are only good for video. The autofocus being quiet can be valuable depending on where you take...

Very nice deal for this camera. I currently use this body for all occasions: portrait, landscape, weddings, and everything else in between daily. I bought the kit from Costco a while back. I would...

My bad, I stand corrected. Thanks for pointing that out. Hahaha, all these times I thought that the 7D was a full-frame! Probably b/c I did not do my research on the 7D because I was not...

I do have one STM lens which I use on my 60D, and it works the same as any other AF lens, just quiet and quick. No difference on amount of "in and out" (which happens when using live view focus)...

I was shocked at the price difference from 60D to 7D, but the 7D has a ton of features they exclude from the 60D, though not enough to justify the extra cost IMHO.... That 6D is looking like my next...

the STM allows you to take videos without the focusing noise. This is good on the T4i because it is currenly the only body that autofocus during video, with other camera bodies you would need to half...

They may be announced, but probably not released. Announcements, in my brief historical following, does little to affect prices. The fact that the prices are down now (along with rumors trickling...

This is a great deal. I bought the same exact combo (60d+18-135 + 70-300) few months ago from amazon for around the same price. I think it is a massive upgrade from the stock 18-55/55-250 kit for an...

Picture quality wise, no huge difference... handling is much better. You should probably shoot more with T3i. Save the money and get some nice lens. The lens that you have are not very good lens....

I was looking for a nice upgrade from the kit lens for a flexible everyday lens good for lots of situations. From what I've read the Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM is a great value and produces...

You really can't go wrong with the Canon EFS- 15-85 IS USM. That said another really good and cheaper option is the Sigma 17-70 F/2-8-4 DC Macro OS HSM lens. I just picked one up new from Amazon...

This is correct, the STM only comes with the T4i. I don't know if the STM functionality works with the 60D.

if you don't need the 18-135, amazon might be a better option. 900 for 70-300 + 60d. flip the lens and get 300 off... 600 for 60d. the 18-135 is worth about 250 - ebay fees...

Which one? 300 for the 18-135, 400 on a good day for the 70-300. STM doesn't work with the 60D. It's primarily a video feature... and I've never been that impressed with the picture quality of...

oh man..... I was planning on buying the 70-300 IS anyway for a trip next week (GREAT lens....had one that was water damaged) which means a 60D + 18-135 lens for $600? I was going to wait...

I just want to point out that this deal is slick, not because of the camera, but because of the lenses. Both lenses are $400+ retail. (cheaper on ebay). But as one person pointed out, not great for...

What if you wanted to Continuous AF during video? - Also, note that STM lenses are focus-by-wire, they do not focus with the ring when the camera is off like traditional lenses. Power is...

Now THIS is a good deal for the aging 60D. I've been saying for months the prices they had for this body + 18-135mm @ ~$1100 was not a good deal because of how the T4i already has features that...

I'm in a similar boat. I've got the T3i and I've been debating ad nauseum between the 60D and the T4i lately but keep stopping short of pulling the trigger. I really like the increased size and...

Just thought obligated to post this - STM DOES work on the 60D. The full time auto focus ability of the STM lenses does NOT work because that is a feature of the camera itself, but the STM (stepping...
