I ended up PMing with BB with the Amazon price. Either way, I'd have had to pay tax, so I took this route. I'll be returning the Open Box this weekend. Thanks again!

Seem these are gr8 bang for the buck... So safe to assume I can use the bookshelf SP-BS22-LR as my rear surround in a 5.1 setup with my JBL 830 fronts & hear magic?

The BS-22's would make good surrounds. Keep in mind they are rated 6 ohms and not very efficient. PlusI believe those JBL's are 8 ohms. You can mix and match impedance on most receivers, but I would...

For a lot less money you could get a complete 5 speaker set of R series Polk and the SW8 from newegg. I would take that over the Pioneer set any day, plus have $100 still in my pocket.

It's actually this other person who has issues with the Polk R150's. I just gave these as another option, then was ripped on by somebody with no actual experience with them. I've just tried to...

Thanks, good info. They went from two 5.25" in the C21 center to two 4" in the C22. That is still a very solid center speaker ("sound bar" anyone?). For the bookshelves, the BS21 and BS22 both had...

I started with just two Pioneer bookshelfs, but they didn't sound 'full' enough. I followed them up with a Pioneer center channel speaker and that smoothed out the sound, significantly. I wasn't...

+1 to correcting misinformation. The BS-22 now has the same bass response and sensitivity as the BS-41, but with a smaller driver.

hmmm... that does sound like a dumb move  camel camel camel had it for $60 back in november. I just picked up 2 FS52's and they say you should always match your front 3 speakers? Just not sure...

What the hell. They did this just to undermine my deal! :) Seriously, I just checked it, lol. Maybe they are actually price matching. Ok, time to update the buddy I emailed for the better free...

Some advice please? :) I've been keeping my eye on the FS52 (floor standing) models for a couple weeks and just yesterday (!) got a pair of these from BB for $89 each for Open Box, being that at the...

I see. Not a lot that concerns me there. I'm running a 2.1 system so the center channel or bookshelf speakers are not an issue. Grill material doesn't matter to me (and I think the new ones look...

I have the B21's for my front and rears and the C21 as my center in my small 10 x 10 TV room. I really like the setup. I know a lot of people had issues with the C21 because of size, hence why they...

I would just keep the ones you have, provided they aren't damaged and play fine.

Cool, good find. No mention of the smaller center speaker specifically. No big deal for most probably.

Would the Bookshelf 22s be able to handle to wattage from Denon 3312 as 7.2 surround speakers? The receiver is listed as 100W per channel and speakers are only rated 80W. Will that combo work?

I'm currently using a pair of Sony SS-MF600H tower speakers. These things are great, and powerful at loud volumes. Two 8" woofers, a 3" mid range, and a 1" tweeter. Anyone know if I purchase...

No, but you're not looking deeper into it. The fact that a 4" woofer is putting out better bass response than a 5 1/4" one speaks volumes about the quality of components being used. I agree that $40...

They made the center channel woofers smaller and it doesn't sound as good. The did away with the 5 1/4" bookshelf speakers and now only offer the small, 4" model. The grilles on these are very cheap....

Yes, we know you like and shill Polk. That's your opinion. The R150 5 1/4" speaker doesn't even have as good a frequency response as the BS-22. Reviews such as these from reputable sources also...
