Some people like to reduce waste. (The "eko" in Ekobrew is supposed to be waste reduction.) Some people like to make one (1) cup at a time. Some people prefer the taste of espresso. Fast/high...

I have the stainless steel Ekobrew fiter. You definitely get sediment in the bottom of the cup and it seems like I have to use too much coffee to get a decent cup. I have to fill it 2/3 to 3/4 full...

Brew and save is apparently the same OEM as ekobrew, but the stainless steel ekobrew looks better, larger, and more refined. $20, $15, either way it's too much. The main rationale for stainless steel...

I have the plastic version and the coffee almost always turns out weak. (grind type does not matter) I will prob go back to the old fashioned decanter method.

Stainless Steel seems like a bit overkill. It's the filter lining that goes out most often. The cups have never fallen apart on me.
