Decent laptop if you just need to do some surfing and pedestrian work but honestly I wouldn't spend almost $300 for this, may be $220 to $250 at most.

It's a combination of both. Weak processor and no HDMI. It's way too expensive for the price.

what is this???? Stop bitching about the processor. NO HDMI KILLS IT! (had to get that in before someone else)

slower cpu will take longer time to do the same thing, unless u only watch movie, this cpu can't even handle a few tabs in chrome.

yes, the CPU is very weak, but it might have benefits for longer better life.

Umm well, for $30 you can step up to a respectable A6 system from the same source: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gateway-17-3-Laptop-4GB-500GB-NV75S32u-/261198212764?pt=Laptops_Nov05&hash=item3cd0a06e9c ...

That makes no sense to say that here. I have bought $320 refurb 17" Dell unit with pentium dual core (sandy-bridge cpus) so yes, when there is a deal on 17's I grab them. This is not one of them.

then get a A4 with 17.3" screen at same level price! ?

Such an underpowered cpu/apu or I would jump. At least an a4 before I consider it even worthy of "laptop" naming. 2 year old celeron dual cores put these to shame.

That processor only has a passmark score of 706, but if want a laptop with a big screen for surfing the net or watching movies that's a great price.
