First root, google xda note 2 toolkit to root and install custom recovery. Then download the 4.1.1 modem, flash via twrp, and then unlock aws. then flash custom rom.

received mine today.. tons of scratches all over... screen looks ok though.. probably gonna return... 4.1.2 so had to downgrade firmware in order to unlock.. however downgrade is near impossible...
