i use i3 sp3pro and its worth it. win10 does a excellent job in memory management so 4gb ram seems plenty. it does everything well including playing unreal tournament at decent settings

Surface pro is definitely more than just a tablet. But I agree that I would not put a lot of money (more than $600-$700) on SP since the poor serviceability and upgradability.
