My immediate thought was this. Swappa. Got the FL a used SG4 for ~ $150 and it's much better than comparably-priced new "cheap" phones/

You can get a mint condition, used S4 on Swappa for under $150...an S5 in good condition for around $200. Far better than paying new imo.
