Didnt even think about relinking the SmartThings sans the Hue bulbs.
I tried removing the Hue bulbs manually but they come back if the discovery button the hub is hit.

You should only need one hub. Each light bulb in your system will act as repeater to form a mesh network.
I believe each Philips controller will handle up to 50 bulbs. I would check craigslist...
