Returned the cooker, it used to leak steam and water from the rubber gasket. There was never enough pressure generated to lift the weight of the cooker.

This is a good deal and it will last you for a while. I like it better stainless steel, cooks faster and food won't get sticky

The only stove tops you would ever need to worry about are induction stoves. Since they use magnetism, they only work with steel or iron pots/pans.

In my experience, the cooking part is identical between aluminum and stainless steel. The major difference to me is that the aluminum doesn't work on my induction stove top.
