The prices have really climbed over the years. I got a maxed out Aurora Desktop with the GTX 690 for $1,100 back in 2011. That was a deal.

I agree. I scored a 17 R3 with similar specs 1Tb, 512 NVME for 1675 after taxes and all. they moved away from coupons and have been teasing people with false pretense

"Alienware @ 40% off" is Dell's standard sales pitch on the Outlet. Supposedly, it's 40% off the original, inflated, imaginary MSRP prices, which isn't necessarily a deal.
