CPU Confirmed to be: Celeron 900, 2.2 GHZ, 800 mhz FSB

The Celeron 900 feature wise is a T4400 without the second core (2.2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 cache).
This is a great deal and would smoke any netbook. Passmark score (CPU speed rating) for Celeron 900 is 760. Atom CPUs found in netbooks score around 300. Of course this is a full size laptop and a netbook is a totally different product with different pros/cons, I only drew the comparison because in this price range there aren't many laptops to compare.

Found a link at emachine site here [gateway.com] Seems these are basic laptop, cheap for what you would use them for. Web, Officesuits ETC.

Does NOT appear to have a webcam. There is a webcam hole screen filled with plastic.

Does not include factory restore discs, includes E-Machines utility to burn restore discs onto 3 dvd's.

OS X x86 compatibility: Installs fine but very few things are natively supported out of the box. OS X hates the 4500M intel graphics as well, there arn't any quartz drivers available at this time. Overall I would not recommend this as an OS X machine.

Does not have separate volume control buttons, you have to use Function and Arrow Keys to control volume.
