PC World and Currys online app stores are giving away free downloads of Angry Birds PC. The offer will run for 15,000 dwnloads, or until the end of March, via the Intel AppUp PC App Store. This means that you’ll be able to get your Angry Birds fix on PCs, netbooks and laptops, in all its full screen glory. *** FOR those with run ERRORS check your download size "30325kb" is the correct size. I had error after error so I re-downloaded it and noticed the size difference. The new download installed and ran first try. My first download was in the 22000kb area. it installed but would error -13 and error -1

1) Go to OP's curry link.
2) Download Intel App up s/w from that link and NOT from Intel website. As the setups are different
3) Create new account and you will get notification in your browser that Angry birds is free to download.
4) Old account won't work.
5) Disable AV software for now.... messed up my installation as well as for running the software. -- metaldood
Works on x64 Win 7. The appup s/w installs in x86 Program files. You don't have to be in UK to get Free angry birds --metaldood.
For those who get errors 105, -2 etc etc are all related to internet and Intel's servers being slow and this app is BUGGY! Just try again and it will work....-- metaldood
DO NOT create an account on the curry's website, for those trying to register on it and not being able to get the UK postal code. Download the APP, install it then you are able to create a new account.
NOTE: Does not work on Vista. Did not work for me. And seems like it has not for others in this thread. -S0Jr

Also, if you are getting the error that this game wasn't authorized on your system by launching it from the appup program, try clicking on the Angry Birds shortcut itself and it may work. --terra-kun
Edit by dcobb - You can play this game in a window rather than full screen if you want, the old Alt-Enter trick actually works!
Edit by Muckrak3r - if you installed Angry Birds and your screen flickers like a strobe light - Right click on Angry Birds shortcut. Select Properties. Click Compatibility tab. Check the box for 'disable display scaling on high DPI settings' - and make sure to run the game as Administrator.

Runs pretty well on weak hardware and plays very much like all the other versions (although playing angry birds with a touchpad isn't ideal.)
Pro tip: Get Intel Appup now & set up an account. It ran kind of slow and the setting up of the account borders on archaic.
If the licensing remains the same you'll be able to install the app on up to 5 machines (must install Appup on them too.) The app also validates from time-to-time so an occasional internet connection is also required.
I'll try Vista tonight but it's not listed as supported either.
