I didnt see this posted but while scanning through the BB weekly ad I saw that they had the Kindle 3G with special offers listed at $169.99 when you click on it it states that they lowered the price to $139.99 which is the same price as Amazon.com. The ad also lists a free $30 gift card with any Kindle 3G purchase. That would be a net price of $109, after the gift card. My store has not opened yet to see if this is how the deal works, but I'm planning on going there anyway.

Please note: $30 Best Buy gift card can be used to purchase $25 or $50 Kindle gift cards at Best Buy which are good for anything sold on Amazon.com (not just Kindle books). This means the $30 Best Buy credit is equivalent to Amazon credit. So even with sales tax, you come out ahead buying the $139 3G Special Offers Kindle at Best Buy vs. Amazon.

E-mail documents to USERNAME @free.kindle.com to download them free via WiFi, or USERNAME @kindle.com to download them (for a charge) via 3G.

If they honor the gift card after the price drop it will be a good deal. This kindle listed on amazon for $139, the Kindle 3G without special offers is $189 and the WIFI only Kindle with special offers is $114. I'll report back if I'm able to get this deal.

Went to their online ad and it's listed for $164.99. When you scroll over it to and go to more details is shows the $139.99 price and free $30 gift card. Gonna print it and bring it in. It shouldn't be a problem I'm thinking.

I know that many people don't believe in waiting for the next model "coming soon," but there are reports that Amazon will be releasing new, touch screen Kindle models around October.

The bigger news in this article is that Amazon is going to release a tablet to compete with the iPad.
