Unit does not convert voltage, but you can use it with anything that says it can accept 100-240 volt inputs--which is a lot of stuff these days.
Example: I have this charger and used it on 2 trips to Europe this summer where I paired it with my cell phone's wall-socket-to-USB converter and charged my phone that way. My camera battery charger also accepts 100-240 volts. Many laptops are also dual-voltage.
Amazon has one like it for $ 3.41 and free prime shipping as an alternative.

So it cannot be used in India...where they use 240V instead of the 120V ?
you dont need voltage converting function now aday with our travel toys (laptop, cellphone, gps, shaver,...) plus, you dont want to plug in your expensive toys to chinese-knockoff-made-voltage-converter.
