$6 cheaper than the newegg deal, plus not having to wait for the mail.
I originally pre-ordered from newegg, but will be cancelling. Not sure how long this will last so get it while it's hot!

DEAD - PRICE BACK TO $51
Game requires the use of Origin, which is a similar service as Steam or Games For Windows Live.
You may setup a shortcut in steam by using the "Add Non-Steam Game Shortcut to Steam" and point it at the battlelog website when the game is release.
Note on download time, if you have regular speed DSL, you might not want to do this (takes a while).
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is about 5.5GB and the Battlefield 3 can only be bigger, lets say 8GB. Game is actually 20GB according to sys requirements (20GB after installed that is, and give or take the extra space to ensure system is running properly. The installer are usually compressed about 10-20%, 18GB(with update) seem like a reasonable guess)
There have been a few reports of corrupt file via Amazon download. Some suggest downloading from Origin using the key provided by Amazon.
ITS NOT GOING TO BE 18GB. 10GB IS THE DOWNLOAD SIZE AND UPDATE MIGHT BE ANOTHER 3GB. AT 6MBPS (642kBps) THE DOWNLOAD SHOULD BE AROUND 7 HOURS TOTAL.
Correction:
Assuming 18GB and max download speed, and so if you have:
Regular DSL(768Kbps): 55~56 hours
Upgraded DSL(3Mbps): 30~32 hours
Faster Cable(10Mbps): 3-5 hours
Pre-loading starts October 21
On October 21, 2011 at 7:00am PST, the digital download of “Battlefield 3 – Limited Edition” will become available for pre-load for those customers who have placed their pre-order. This means that customers will be able to download “Battlefield 3 – Limited Edition” and get their activation key in preparation for the October 25, 2011 release. Customers who have pre-loaded will be able to play immediately on October 25 at Midnight Pacific time when Electronic Arts turns on their activation servers.
Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

^^^ Link is an old post. Look at this one, it says 20GB http://bf3blog.com/2011/09/battle...-revealed/
Add to the fact that the first patch will be the day it's released and it could easily be over 10 GB for the download version.
The size of the compressed package from Amazon downloader software indicates 10.2 GB. The actually size after it is uncompressed and installed may be 20 GB as stated here and elsewhere.

Sweet, thanks and repped!
No waiting to have to be shipped by Newegg as well.
Thanks OP!
I LOVE AMAZON!
Still hoping this comes to Steam, but for this price you can't say no. Besides, you can cancel this pre-order at any time.
So if anyone else out there is waiting for this to come to Steam, just ORDER THIS. You can cancel if it ends up going to Steam.
