At midnight, Southwest is planning to launch its winter sale in most markets for early December, most of January, and the first half of February travel is about to get started for booking through this Thursday. Travel any day but Sunday and Dec 15-Jan 3 is blacked out. $35 short hauls, $65 mid hauls, $95 longer hauls and $125 longest hauls.

FYI...The site said to wait until 11am Eastern to look for a flight. This will give all of the other low cost and legacy airlines time to match the airfares. It actually may take until 4pm today to match.
