Seriously, why isn't anyone calling this a hot deal? I can't find a single slick deal case this cheap within the last 6 months and on top of that antec is a good brand and this case for $35 a month or two ago was called a hot deal. I mean really, is everyone expecting majorly better black friday deals or something?

This is a good deal, nice case for $25, we have not seen good cheap case for a while, nice and sturdy, the draw back: not tool less, no cable management and the front silver color is a bit awkward, but for $25 I can overlook those issues, great sever case to hold lots of HDD and good cooling, I actually was wanting something different with USB3.0 and hot swap HDD bay but the price is too tempting.

Btw, not getting more attention is not a bad thing, atleast for people like us that spends the time searching can actually buy something

Very Good Question. After rebate, this is just $8/$9 more than the old-school looking beige Enlight EN-7255 with USB 1.1 front ports (!) Hot Deals back in May and July.

It's a Hot enough deal to get me off the money for one, even though I don't need another case right now. I don't expect to see any knock-your-socks-off Black Friday deals on cases. Maybe on gaudy higher price windowed cases from 2nd tier mfg.? Who knows...

yup, a high quality case for $25. However, there are better cases in its class and with BF on the horizon, there is also a chance they will drop somewhere close to this price.

BTW, this appears to be the updated v2 model, in case you are reading/watching reviews. There are a few on youtube. I guess it's marked in S instead since it has the silver front plate.

The 300 illusion at $45 out the door was a better deal imo.

I didn't even notice it was silver, I thought it was just the lighting, Good catch noticing that. I'll still keep my eyes peeled, but I definitely don't expect any other high quality cases to get this cheap, hence why I think it's a pretty good deal.

also, i mean, did you say you are building a server? I'm looking for an HTPC case. I want a front 2.5 slot for a card reader and something that looks ok. Not that this case looks bad. Since this will sit on the floor for me, I want USB/other ports on the top. Now if your just going to stick a bunch of hard drives in a case and tuck this away somewhere, than it's a no brainer, you should just get it. $25 shipped, no tax, 2 included fans and a controller, and Antec quality.

(as an aside, the 902 and 1200 were better deals for ~$30 )

No one seems to have gotten the 902 and 1200 though. I'm also building an HTPC, but trying to make a silent one, so using an hd-plex h5.sodd case when it comes out in December hopefully. Trying to plan my server parts to be compatible with the case is the hardest part though, as I plan on holding off on buying the real htpc parts when ivy bridge comes out. Meaning the server parts need to fit in the htpc case as well. It's not looking too good since that case is pretty picky about motherboards, but i have a few cheap options. The server would definitely be out of sight and out of mind for me though, so looks are largely unimportant, so long as the case is cheap with good quality, and can fit 7-10 HDD's I'm happy. Starting to regret giving away my antec 900 build from 2007, it would be a power guzzler as a server, but having the case at least would be nice.

Either way, I'm trying to stick to a $200 budget, but the server is a christmas present from my mom, so I will likely point her to as many deals as I can so long as the parts meet my requirements. She's sure to miss a few and so there will be some element of surprise come christmas.

For $25? Definitely slick. The chances of seeing a case of similar quality for this price, even during BF is probably slim. I'd expect to see some slightly better for $30-$35, though, so if you're not in love with this case's looks, want cable management, better airflow, etc-- I'd say hold out and maybe something you like a bit better will come on sale.

With hard drive sales the way they've been, there will probably be an overall slump in PC components.

I'd see a good Cyber Monday deal as likely.
