Use the coupon code "TAXSUCKS" to have the $5 s/h reimbursed, as long as you reside in Kansas, Kentucky, New York, North Dakota, Texas, or Washington ... since those are states where Woot (and its parent corp. Amazon) have a corporate presence. Note that your order info will be manually inspected if you add the code, so don't attempt funny business.

Pairing Setup - How do I 'pair' my RF headset to its transceiver
When the headset and transmitter are communicating, the top LED on the front panel of the transmitter will be steady on. If this LED is pulsing slowly ("breathing"), it means the transmitter has lost communication with the headset's receivers. This can sometimes happen if the headset is turned off for a long time or is out of range, as well as for some other reasons.
If you have a PX3 or MW3 Bravo headset, please make sure its batteries are allowed to charge for several hours if you are having trouble with these pairing instructions. When the batteries in a PX3 or MW3 Bravo headset, the headset will not be able to pair properly
NOTE: check whether your headset's transceiver has a button that says PAIR. If it does not have a button that says PAIR, you should instead use the BYPASS button when you follow these instructions.
To "pair" the headset to its transmitter:
1) Make sure the headset is off by pressing the POWER button until the LED on the left earcup turns on solid, then release it.
2) Press and hold the transmitter PAIRING button for 5 seconds until the LED on the transmitter turns off, then release the PAIRING button. The transmitter LED will then flash rapidly.
3) Press and hold the headset power button. The headset LED will be steady ON. When the headset LED turns OFF release the headset power button.
4) After a few seconds, the LED on the transmitter should be steady on and the headset palm tree LED should be flashing once a second. The units are now paired.

Hope this helps.
Still on the fence whether I want to go through these guys or buy a SquareTrade warranty instead. Either that or I get a full refund from Woot right now...but my headphones still work and I feel like the fix to my volume issue is pretty minor.

Have you used Square Trade on a refurbished item? Some times warranties only cover paid cost on refurb items. I hope square trade would do a full replacement.
