This is a Bluetooth remote so it does not require line of sight and has the ability to power on/off the PS3 unlike IR based remotes/receivers

This is the first time i've seen a repost of a thread not only NOT get merged in, but then the REPOST makes it to FP. ROFL!!!
theres really no reason to get this if you have a modern HDTV and a slim PS3.. most new TVs support HDMI pass through for remote control (ie Sony BraviaSync or Samsung Anynet+, etc)... you can control your slim PS3 using your TV remote... this also reduces remote clutter on your coffee table
--- IF HDMI CEC actually worked across the board with all TV models you would still only be partially correct! - but what about all the sub menus and features that some viewers want - need to use.
