You have it, so you might as well use it. Owning a Keurig is not something you have because of value or cost savings.
Sure - you can brew just hot water.
And you can make instant coffee, or go to starbucks and they'll make it for you.
The Keurig is about convenience, easy, quick coffee/hotchocolate/etc.

Strawmen after 5? Oh alright.
I never said the keurig wasnt great for coffee, we go through a lot of cups every month. What I said was I dont see the convenience of spending a lot of $$$ on cups for instant powders when you can buy the same stuff in a big can for a lot less. There doesnt seem to be an excess of convenience improvement involved vs making a single cup of coffee.
We also DO save money using our Keurig brewer. My wife and I drink coffee 3-4 times a day and never at the same time. We used to brew a lot of small pots and the waste was pretty significant.
On the other hand, they ship the S&S orders cheap and slow instead of Prime, so maybe it costs them the same or less.
