for those that like to play around with firmwares.... ddwrt isnt so cool with messing with cloned macs sucks the big one actually.. However the trade off is the whole wireless bridge / repeater mode . Tomato however plays nice with cloning macs has a randomizer that makes up crap on the fly.. Perfect for you hax0rs out there . But to my knowledge there isnt a repeater bridge function in tomato that is the disadvantage. otherwise both are good firmwares, and tomato looks prettier gui wise.

I was on the fence with the current fp deal since it seemed like it had been at that price for a while. glad I waited. only $10 more than the last fp refurb.

it all depend what mod(s) are on duty aka at work. if BM was on duty this would have already been on the FP.

LoLz @ BM is he really 17? he's not all techie but he seems to dig tech products . Yeah this is what I hate about IT i think i chose the wrong path, if I had the strength to get into coding theres more jobs.. im currently trying to get the linux cli down and scripting admin work. ah its not the same without a gui!!! sudo apt-get sad2.0

Depending on what you're after, WDS on Tomato might be a viable solution if you aren't limited by its constraints. I'm with you though, I wish Tomato supported repeater/RB proper for those who travel and don't have access to all the equipment on the network. Someday, perhaps

Great little router. However i am sure why someone needs to pay twice for new one. I bought a refurb cisco version for 28 bucks. My router looked brand new.

Either way this is a solid router.
