TRU always keeps their blu-rays in the case. Ours used to keep them in the same case with the video games, but then got a glass case in the aisle with the rest of the DVDs. With Dumbo, I asked, and they had to go in the back to get them. The manager said they didn't have any, but the computer said they did, so the person working electronics went back and got them herself.

You have to pre-order Muppets WHEN you purchase Lady and the Tramp. There isn't a $10 coupon. When you pre-order Muppets, you hand the cashier the pre-order card. They will scan it to charge you the $5, and if you purchase a Disney blu-ray $19.99 or more in the same transaction, it will automatically take $10 off the blu-ray price (in this case, Lady and the Tramp). So you'll purchase Lady and the Tramp and pre-order Muppets in the same transaction. If you purchase the pre-order separately, there's no way to get the $10 off unless you return the pre-order and repurchase it.

You can, but it's questionable whether or not you should. I've done it once and later felt bad about it, so I didn't do it the last time when I didn't pick up Cars 2. I just see it as a $5 discount and if I happen to get the pre-ordered movie at TRU, that's even better. I used to look at it as a $10 discount, but when Tangled came out, the Disney coupon was only good for the 3D version (which was $35 at TRU), so I decided to take my deposit back (I think I may have had 2 pre-orders for Tangled, so more money made it more tempting). Cars 2 was the same way, but I just couldn't bring myself to return the deposit, even though I was tempted to. But I leave that up to you. The way I see it, hopefully the price for Muppets will be no more than $25 (which is usually the case unless it's a 3D movie). There will probably be a $5 coupon, bringing it down to $20. Then the $5 deposit, making it $15. Not too bad, especially since I could use the $5 GC towards it. And there's hope that there will be another Disney pre-order, especially with Rescuers and Pocahontas coming out this Summer (no set dates, yet, though, so they may not be out early enough for the pre-order, but one could hope).

Strange, since Disney only lists a 3-disc Blu-ray combo pack, 2-disc Blu-ray combo pack, and 2-disc DVD combo pack (no 3-disc DVD combo pack). Are you sure it's the 3-disc with the gold border like the one below? Or does it have a grey border? Remember that the ad had them switched. It had the gold bordered 3-disc listed as the 2-disc and the grey bordered 2-disc DVD listed as the 3-disc.

The two closest TRUs to me, pulled the Muppets Pre-order card and refused to sell them from behind the counter.

I had to settle for the $17.99 and $5 card.

FYI, the TRU in Freehold, NJ still had two more of the 3-disk BR sets left in the case when I left a few minutes. The Muppets pre-order slips were available at the registers by the electronics section.

verified. went and checked at home and it is the bluray packaging for the 3 disc set.

Got the same deal as everyone else, however tried to throw in a $5 off $25 coupons since the total was $29.99 before the $10 instant savings. It was a no go. Computer kicked out the $5/25 when the $10 promotion was applied. Manager refused to manually over ride. Called customer service and filed a complaint, since neither the coupon or the pre-order card stated that the promotions could not be combined.

The GC I got expires 3-31. Did you mean 3-21 or 3-31?

I got the deal but had to work for it. All the Toys R Us' by me did not have the preorder card. I had to end up guessing what stores might have the preorder card so they could get the sku number off of it so the guys could put it in the system. I am from Orlando and picked a Toys R Us in Atlanta and luckily they had the card and gave me the sku so the guy could us it. At the end I paid $13 also!
