"We are required by law to obtain personal information, including Social Security Number, to verify the identity of our customers." It seems like a violation of the Privacy Act Of 1974 for "the law" to require them to collect a social security number for identification. http://www.ssa.gov/OP_Home/comp2/F093-579.html This probably has something to do with the Anti-Patriot Act that our traitors (oops, I mean politicians) signed in 2001. Forcing Americans to use a SS# for everything was supposed to end terrorism. There isn't even a law requiring us to have a social security number. It is completely voluntary. But, now everybody 'requires' it. Thanks to the REAL ID Act, even the DMV is requiring a SS# for a driver's license renewal. It is only going to get worse from. What's next, show your National ID Card (your new driver's license) to buy food? Are your papers in order, comrade?
