1. descaling: causes issues from no cups being brewed to water being pumped back into the reservoir which leads to 1/2 the size of the cup you selected.
2. clogged needles
3. clogged base filter (located near the valve at the bottom of the reservoir)
4. clogged water lines (usually due to hard water)
5. bad primes (air in water line)
6. slow to no cups being brewed. this means, you load the kcup, select the size (water oz.), and then you wait and wait and wait... and at times it will brew (but with little pressure) or not do anything at all. This is issue is a constant recurring problem and have to figure out the exact cause.
7. brew a cup and in the middle of it just spit water.
8. bad pumps that will make a relatively loud grinding sound.
9. believe me there are many more suttle issues... but these are the main ones
so, maintenance would be unclogging the needle with a paper clip, a 1-2 day descaling procedure using UNDILUTED vinegar, cleaning of the water pump lines (i've heard of people using compressed air to dislodge crap), cleaning the reservoir filter...
there are videos on keurig.com and other stuff about maintenance.. http://www.keurig.com/customer-service. the descale seems to be the most common procedure applied.
however, my issue was the water being returned into the reservoir as it was making cups (with and without the DESCALE message on the LCD). Descaling overnight, flushing the system, cleaning the needles, cleaning the reservoir filter.. all did nothing... i still had the issue water returning into the reservoir AND sometimes no cups brewed.
but then i found about the BURB AND SLAP method .. and it freaking worked immediately..
concept is empty out your keuring, unplug it, flip it upside down and slap that living crap out of it from the bottom of the base, as if you are "BURBING" a baby...
.. sounds very silly, but guess what it worked immediately!!!!!!!!!
google BURB AND SLAP keurig and you will see this is true..i came across is here http://www.kcupbarista.com/2011/0...wont-brew/ where many listed issues with b70s b60s etc and all did this trick and it worked wonders...
yeah same here, i owned the b70 since 12/2009 and didnt come across the descale message until this jan. but then again i dont use tap water, i use water from culligan + the carbon filter inside the reservoir...

SDers, those who believe preserving our environment then stay away from Keurig or any other single serve coffee brewing machines unless machine use reusable coffee filter

Bottom-line, sooner we stop using these K-Cups (or similar type) would be better for our generations to come
I ordered 2, but then found out about the cardpool 15% discounted electronic gift cards so ordered one of those this morning (still no email 4 hours later) in hopes that it would be emailed either before my order shipped or before the deal was dead and I could just order 2 more and return my first 2.
But now people are saying they are getting cancellation emails so plan B might not an option anymore. I hoped I can call Kohl's customer service and have them take the gift cards as payment instead, I really dont want to be stuck with $180 worth of Kohl's Credit!
Anyone know if this is possible, to get them to change forms of payment after the fact?
EDIT: Just got a call from Cardpool, I guess if its your first time buying an e-card they have to verify your info. Maybe thats way many people have not seen the "instant results" that others have reported.
