with any cars made in last 10 yrs, if u start noticing a big difference after using this kind of products, then u need to worry about how ur maintenance/usage routine. imho, SI-redline is superior vs chevron, basing this on knowhow from some hardcore mechanically inclined buddies. But now chevron hide their main ingredient under proprietary label, so it be difficult to tell. But if getting BOGO deal, chevron be better deal than SI-redline. There be plenty others too like BG44K which be very overpriced.

Either use SI-redline or chevron BOGO deal. And if no difference, no worry. It be more of a preventive maintenance. Advice from mechanic buddy is: use 2 oz SI-redline/Chevron every 1000 miles. Put it in when u full tank.

Time to stock 'em up...!!!

For strictly gas tank purposes, Redline SI1 works best. Even better than Seafoam.

I prefer SI-1 as well, but Techron is a close second and this is a good deal

these products do work.. only thing is its hard to notice a 1% increase in performance or a 1 mpg difference.. a 5 degree change in oil temperature.. but they will improve the overall performance of older engines.. if you care is less then 5 years old and you always use a name brand gas you dont need this

I had a sticky gas gauge on my VW jetta for months... After using this once, it cleared it up. I'm assuming it cleaned off the sensor inside of the tank. Anyway, i recommend this stuff.

They things don't do anything. Only ones strong enough to do something are in metal cans like sea foam

Is there any reliable, unbiased science on this stuff, any of it? Like a study showing regular use reduced frequency of repairs, or after use in an old engine efficiency was improved? I have read so many times that modern gasoline already include detergents and that adding more does not help, but I would love to be educated otherwise.

I remember reading an actual study on it a few years ago. They tested several different additives on different engines and ran them 24/7 for a long time. Techron was the only additive that they tested that did anything. I can't seem to find the site anymore though.

Personally I've used Techron a few times in my 25 year old car but I honestly haven't noticed any difference before and after.
